We had 3 guy's from the Academy compete in the Royler Gracie Cup on the 13th of November in Sydney, Australia! It was a great tournament, very professional and the boys really enjoyed it. A big thanks to Gracie Sydney and Bruno Panno for such a well run tournament and for making Gracie Humaita NZ Competition Team feel so welcome.
Thomas Kaan, Mike Pascoe and Ryan Henry all fort well and collectively bought back 4 Medals. For the Royler Gracie Cup Official Results check out www.bjjcomp.com.
While they were over there they also had the privilege to train under 6x World Champ Xander Ribeiro. Check out Ryan's Blog for what they got up to over there.

Academy Trip To Train With Royler Gracie
Ryan and Cherine Henry, Thomas Kaan and Karla Sykes (2 Academy Members), flew with us to Coogee Sydney, in Australia. We had the great honour of not only meeting and training with Royler Gracie, but now the Academy's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is directly under Royler Gracie himself. We are now apart of the Gracie Jiu Jitsu dynasty, this is a great opportunity for everyone who is a part of the Academy. He is a true artist and a fantastic teacher. He really makes you feel passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and honoured to be learning the 80 year old techniques created by his father (Helio), that were taught to him, his brothers and sisters, that he is now passing on to us. What an unbelievable experience. What a great group of guys and fantastic teachers. We were warmly welcomed by everyone and learned so much, we will be making regular trips to Bruno's Academy in Sydney as often as we can.
