This is a Fancy Dress Evening - Las Vegas Theme Night.
We want you to go all out and go crazy. You can dress up as anything that is Vegas; Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, A Show Girl, A Marfia Gangsta, A Magician, Wear Evening Gowns with Boas and Feathers, the list goes on.
There will be Spot Prizes for the best dressed.

CALLING ALL CONTENDERS!
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR - 2013!
TAKE THE JOURNEY - SET YOUR MIND FREE - BECOME A CONTENDER! WE ARE ON THE HUNT FOR UP TO 20 MEN AND WOMEN WHO KNOW THEY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO GO THE DISTANCE....
This is not your traditional boxing contest.
Sure - the finale of the programme is a spectacular boxing event where up to 20 local people will get in the ring in front of an estimated audience of 1500 people and put their chins on the line for a great local charity...
But it is a
lot more than that....ask any of the Contenders from last year!
There is over 4 months of blood, sweat and often tears that goes in behind the scenes to deliver the
goods on the night.
First and foremost, it is not about the blood sport. It is not even all about the boxing.
This event is
about the experience, the environment, the atmosphere. It is about making sure every
person who participates is looked after, that all match-ups are fair, that
everyone gets as much
as they can as individuals out of the programme and that everyone is confident and
competent by the time they get into
the ring.
It is about
creating a legacy of guys and girls who go through this programme over time and come out of it
not only having had the greatest experience of their life, but that they take
that experience and
apply it for the rest of their lives as fitter, healthier and more confident individuals.
As such, our
focus is not on selecting the best or most accomplished boxers. It's not about who is the
fittest or the strongest. It's not about who is the most well known around
town. While we
anticipate selecting a range of bouts that represent people across our entire community
whether it is industry on industry, business on business, sport on sport, club
on club, or even
just mate on mate, our focus
remains at all times on finding the best and
fairest match ups we
can that have that special Dunedin relevance and then working through a training
process to make sure they stay that way.

We are now in a bigger, better location then our last Gym that used to be situated on Princes Street.
Our new location is across the road from Sports Otago and The Warehouse, in The South Pacific House, Level 1, 167 High Street, Dunedin, 9016.
We opened the Academy in the new facility in 2010 and it has never been busier. Come down and check it out!

We offer what other Gyms in Dunedin cannot. We are an Academy, an institute of learning. Gracie Jiu Jitsu at the Academy!
Gracie Jiu Jitsu (RGJJ)
The Academy's Brazilain Jiu Jitsu School is now run under the tutelage and instruction of the legendary, Royler Gracie.
This is an official Royler Gracie Academy that teaches RGJJ (Royler Gracie Jiu Jitsu) under the instructional direction of Royler Gracie. All our classes are run and directed under the Academy's Head Coach Ryan Henry. Other Gracie Jiu Jitsu trainers are Thomas Kaan, Mike Pascoe, Peter Clinch and Ashlegh Clinch.
What Does This mean?
This means that we are able to give New Zealanders and Dunedin people the opportunity to learn under one of the greatest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners in the world, who's father helped develop what is now known as Gracie Jiu Jitsu.
